What is Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is the medical term for the feeling of hearing sound in your ears or head when no external sound is present. Most sufferers describe the sound as "ringing in ears," though others describe it as hissing, buzzing, whistling and even chirping.

  • Emotional stress: tinnitus may have a connection with the level of stress you are under. If you have a huge level of stress, there is a greater chance that you will be troubled by tinnitus.
